Workplace bullying is undoubtedly a repugnant phenomenon. Yet, it arguably remains widespread and accepted or ‘normalised’ in many organisations. The challenge for organisations, and especially for HR, is that bullying is often a by-product of the over-zealous application of the management control and performance measurement processes that HR itself is accountable for enforcing.
