Mike is an authority on Human Resource strategy and processes with specific experience in developing HR structures, reward strategies and performance. Mike has some 15 years’ consultancy experience and has led major assignments for a diverse range of global clients. His past career includes HR roles with Shell, Co-op Bank, BBC and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development as well as big consulting companies.
Mike is a regular speaker on the UK and international conference circuit, and is the author of numerous management books, including Changing Culture, Attitude and Opinion Surveys, The Performance Management Handbook and From Absence to Attendance.
He has also led research and benchmarking projects for organisations including the UK Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), producing major research reports, for example, culture change in multi-national organizations.
Mike collaborated with Shirley and Judith to co-author the CIPD ‘HR as a Business Partner toolkit’.
